AI and Cloud Shaping the Digital Workplace

Q1. Could you start by giving us a brief overview of your professional background, particularly focusing on your expertise in the industry?

I have 20 years of overall experience in the IT industry. I started as a Microsoft.Net developer and then moved on to Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud Services and Support for enterprise customers. I am currently working as Microsoft practice head, providing cloud services and support for small, medium, and Enterprise customers, focusing on digital transformation and modern workplace solutions.

Q2. What’s the market share distribution between major players like Microsoft, Google Workspace, and Amazon WorkSpaces in the digital workplace arena?

Microsoft is almost 80-90% in Enterprise, 60-70% in Small and Medium

Google is 10-15% in Enterprise, 20-25% in small and medium

Amazon is 5-10% overall, but now they have discontinued, and Amazon Workspaces is retiring.

Q3. What partnerships or acquisitions have competitors recently made to strengthen their positions in cloud services or digital transformation?

Most partnerships or acquisitions occur in the AI space. AI services that provide automation and intelligent detection are the major areas of services and security.

Q4. What innovations in collaboration tools and communication platforms are expected to drive product growth over the next 3-5 years?

AI services like automatic note-taking, automatic action items, automatic workflow creations, form validations, audit, compliance, and governance.

Q5. What’s the future for hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud strategies as organizations seek flexibility and security?

Hybrid cloud architecture will be key for organizations that continue to grow rapidly and acquire companies with investments in different clouds. However, most organizations opt for cloud consolidation; they eventually want everything in one cloud for better governance and compliance needs.

Q6. If you were an investor looking at companies within the space, what critical question would you pose to their senior management?

  • Are you AI-ready?
  • Can you support MultiCloud Management?
  • Can you support Cloud consolidation and migration?
  • Can you support Automatic Governance and Compliance?
