A global research and consulting firm approached Knowledge Ridge for expert insights in the global materials and packaging space. This included insights on primary and secondary packaging of PET bottles. Pinpointed insights into the design, production, and recyclability of PET bottles, and multiple existing and upcoming innovations in this space were to be touched upon as well. Furthermore, the client required an understanding of the suitability of PET bottles for aseptic filling, neck finish specification of dispensing cap, dimensional details, capacities, TRL Levels, and time to market. The client also wanted in-depth information on the type of technology used to produce these bottles, engraving mechanism, technology cost, rate of bottle packaging, and an assessment of the material distribution of molded bottle (as compared to NIR heating)

Knowledge Ridge researchers selected relevant experts, phone interviewed them to understand their direct involvement, and for which aspects of the project they can add value and share insights, ensuring all angles of the request were covered. Subsequently, experts were identified and shortlisted, which included Director of Packaging and key decision-makers from leading companies and their biography was drafted as per Knowledge Ridge’s phone interviewing process. The final list of experts was sent to the client for their selection.

This also included pinpointed insights on the suitability of PET bottles for aseptic filling, neck finish specification of dispensing cap, dimensional details, capacities, TRL Levels, and time to market. Furthermore, a few selected experts shared their knowledge on the type of technology used to produce these bottles, engraving mechanism, technology cost, and rate of bottle packaging. Other selected experts provided an objective assessment of the material distribution of molded bottles when compared to NIR heating.
