A global consulting firm based in Europe approached Knowledge Ridge to gain expert insights and first-hand perspectives into the power/electricity market in Asia, specifically focussed on Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore. This specifically included perspectives on network/grid size, operational and financial performance, and CAPEX over the past decade along with projections for the next decade (2021-2030). The client also required expert insights into the prevalent trends in metering, adoption of smart technologies along with perspectives on institutional and regulatory landscapes in all of the companies mentioned above. Forecasts for network size and investment; opportunities, outlook, and profiles of the top five DSOs were to be touched upon as well.

Knowledge Ridge researchers selected relevant experts from the countries of interest, phone interviewed them to understand their direct involvement in the power market. This was done to develop an understanding of the various aspects of the project they can add value to and share insights, ensuring all angles of the request were covered. Subsequently, experts in the electricity/power market were identified and shortlisted, which included CXOs, Directors, VPs, and SVPs from leading power companies and their biography was drafted as per Knowledge Ridge’s phone interviewing process. The final list of experts was sent to the client for their selection.
