<p style="text-align: justify;">Before the beginning of the pandemic there has been a number of trends a highly developed industrial societies: increasing leasing of cars, increasing car sharing, increasing number of people using public transport, traction for more sustainability, globalization anyhow.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Now people are obliged to stay at home and to work from home. Even traditional countries like Germany have experienced that the outcome of home&nbsp;office is higher compared to the office. Video conferences have a number of disadvantages, but everybody is used to it now and have no excuse anymore to use it. Taking care of its own and other's&nbsp;health people use less public transport and prefer the own mode of modality again, like cars and bicycles, where bicycles are more suitable and therefore used in warmer&nbsp;periods. Both, the effect of home office for&nbsp;the employer and the changing split of types of transport will have three effects on a longer run: less traffic (and congestion), less use of public transport, improvement of situation of parking for private cars at inner city.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify;">On the other hand, there has been a continuous trend to more e-commerce. This trend has been accelerated by Covid 19. Also, after Covid 19 people who fear infection will buy at the internet. This leads to more last mile delivery especially at inner cities.&nbsp;Creating a need for another type of urban hubs. And a need for the city councils to react ad to decide much faster. Urban planning and realization takes a while...</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The obligation to stay in a specific radius from home and the restrictions of travelling drive the demand of alternatives to petrol driven modes of transport. This gives a boost to any electrical device like electrical cars, pedelecs, e -scooters. The (limited) range of these vehicles is not the same hurdle as before.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Short summary: Trends change dramatically and fast with Covid 19. We must take brave and fast decisions having a high impact. Just do it.
